I have a few questions for those of you who own a Mid Mount Mower (MMM) for a TC series. Is New Holland the only brand of MMM available for these tractors? When it's mounted, does it leave the 3ph, rear PTO, etc unused so I could run a 3ph implement without taking the MMM off? How does the lift work and what lever controls it? Will a TC29D require any additional hydraulics? How high does the MMM lift off the ground when it's not being used? Does the MMM get in the way and need to be removed for (try to answer with either "always", "usually", "somtimes", "never":1) Tilling?2) Bush hogging?3) Grader blade?4) Rear slip scoop?5) Front end loader?6) Plow?Can you run both the MMM and a rear PTO implement at the same time? For example, could I mow grass and till at the same time? How much does a 6' MMM cost? How long does it take to take it off and put it back on?OK, so I had more than a "few" questions! Thanks, Danny.

Since I have a TC29D I think I can respond to most of your questions. I have the six foot mid mount mower , it is suspended by the center of the tractor, and runs off the mid pto, but the lifting is thru the rear 3 point hitch arms. the way this works is a couple springs and arms and shafts, which "float" the deck, this way there is not too much weight on the deck wheels. I think this system works great for regular mowing. I use the three point hitch all the time with the mid mount deck in place
That said I also will complain that I do not like the height the deck lifts to, When I am doing serious off road type work the deck comes off, good news is this can be done in five minutes without tools. on my tractor to remove quickly (I have super steer) I have to turn the wheels all the way to one side, the deck has to be set to a mid or low mowing height, after unhooking four pins, and the driveshaft, I rotate the deck and it rolls out.
Note that these levers and springs remain on the tractor, I did damage them a little while doing 5 acres of heavy brush hog work
1 to 1.5 inch saplings
the mid mount mower is 100% mechanical, no added hydraulics, I am not sure about your questions on other attachments because I dont have them, but I have used the bush hog for light work with the mower deck in place.
I did have to remove some of the mounting brackets for my
mid mount mower when I put on the front mount snowblower.

I have a TC25D equiped with a 60" NH MMM. The mower works great. It gives a nice clean cut for something this size.
I agree with pretty much everything the previous poster said except for the mounting/unmounting time. It usually take me between 30 minutes to an hour to do. Now, I have not tried turning the wheel method yet (because my dealer showed me the way to clear the MMM gear box by using the FEL as a jack). That could very well cut it down to 15 minutes -- assuming that it'll work. One other difficulty is that the rear rollers do not roll sideways.
My other comment would be the following:
- be warned not to use it for any heavy grass mowing. I just had the drive belt snapped by going through some high heavy grass/weeds. I also have lost a couple of mounting dowel pins.
- the mower is quite maintainable; all the lube points are easily accessed. Without flipping the deck over and judging from the cut, the blades seem to be holding up quite well for three seasons.
- since there are no independent mechanism for rear and mid lifting, changing position of one will change the other as well. ....

I also have a 60"MMM on a TC25D and ditto the previous comments. I do not have supersteer but remove the deck in 15-20 minutes:
-disengage the quick disconnect driveshaft (position centered on the deck)
-lowering the cutting height by raising the wheels
-rotating the steering wheel to the right
-From the left side of the tractor pull the deck out with some jockeying to clear the right wheel post from around the front drive shaft and adjacent frame.
I find that when using the bucket loader, that soil/dirt collects on the deck with enough material to be skeptical about wear/damage to the belt and pulleys. So I pull the loader off which is quick...15 min.
Replacing the drive belt took me 60 minutes for my first attempt. I had an extra set of blades and intended to put them on earlier in the season. There is a NH "special tool" spanner wrench ($75.) that holds the pully wheels while the blade nut is being remove...took nearly 3 months to get the tool through my dealer. I called NH customer service and complained. ....

I have the 60 inch MMM for a TC25D. I like the cut but wish it raised up higher when not in use. I found that an aid to removal is to slide a board on casters under the rear of the deck. Then raise the rear wheels and use the front wheels and the casters to steer it out. Reconnecting the drive shaft is a pain due to its location and difficulty getting leverage from the side. I do it on a creeper from the rear. ....

Jim had mentioned the use of a board with caster wheels positioned under the deck to help with sliding the mower out. I cut with the deck at 2 1/2".
For removal leave the front wheels set at the 2 1/2 height. Bring the rear wheels up to the highest point. I use two small 3 caster-wheel dollies (from Home Depot) one under each of the rear wheel. Drop the system down hydraulically onto the dollies and it's a breeze to manipulate the deck out, store. With the fixed rear wheels the rotational point is limited, the dollies are inexpensive and work like a champ. ....
